Enterprise SaaS Operations & Analytics Engine
How Norvi Infotech India architected a high-throughput, multi-tenant B2B subscription platform supporting real-time metrics telemetry, role-based governance, and automated billing.
1. Business Context & Challenge
The client operated a fast-growing B2B operations service with hundreds of enterprise customers. Their initial MVP relied on disparate external spreadsheets, manual invoicing, and a single shared database that caused severe tenant query cross-talk during peak business hours.
Critical challenges included:
- Unacceptable query latency degradation (P95 times exceeding 3.4 seconds during morning hours)
- High risk of tenant data leakage due to manual WHERE clause query filtering
- Fragmented billing reconciliation with frequent invoice disputes and churn
2. Engineering Approach & Architecture
Norvi Infotech India redesigned the platform from the ground up using a modern, scalable cloud-native stack:
- Row-Level Security (RLS): Implemented PostgreSQL Row-Level Security ensuring strict database-enforced tenant isolation without relying on application-layer logic.
- Event-Driven Ingestion: Built asynchronous worker queues (Redis & BullMQ) to process analytics events off the main HTTP request cycle.
- Stripe Webhook Sync: Automated subscription lifecycle events (upgrades, downgrades, payment failures) with idempotent event receipt logging.
